Animal Crossing is back on the Wii, so ask yourself, if life were an endless vacation, what would I do? Go fishing, collect shells or watch fireworks with friends? Maybe build a snowman, exchange presents with family or decorate my house for the holidays? Take a trip to the city perhaps, and go on a shopping spree, or visit friends from all over the globe? In Animal Crossing: City Folk, life moves at a relaxed pace, but the world still brims with endless possibilities.
You'll always something new to do. In the living, breathing world of Animal Crossing: City Folk, days and seasons pass in real time, so there's always something to discover. Catch fireflies in the summer, go trick-or-treating on Halloween or hunt for eggs on Bunny Day. If you're in the mood for something a little faster paced, take a bus to a new urban city area that's unique to Animal Crossing: City Folk. There you can catch a show at the theater or check out the sales at Gracie's boutique. But if you don't show your face back home for too long, your neighbors will miss you.
Up to four people from your household can live and work together to build the perfect town. Design clothes and patterns, write letters and post messages on the bulletin board for each other, or invite up to three friends to visit your town using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. With the new WiiSpeak microphone, it's like you're all in the same room. The microphone sits atop the sensor bar and picks up the conversation of everyone in the room to encourage a more inclusive experience.
Get to know your neighbors. The heart of Animal Crossing: City Folk is building relationships with the animals in your town as well as with other players. Befriend your animal neighbors by exchanging letters, gifts and favors. Animals can also move from town to town, bringing their memories and stories from their old towns with them. And since animals are notoriously loose-lipped, they spill all the juicy details.
Express your personal style. Customize your town, your house and yourself by collecting bugs, fish, fossils, art, furniture, clothes and accessories. You can also go to the salon in the city to change your hairstyle and get a Mii makeover. Plus, if you design clothes in the tailor's shop, animals will wear them and maybe even bring them to other towns.
So join in and get immersed in the enthralling Animal Crossing Phenomenon. Never has this franchise failed to deliver, and neither will it, if Animal Crossing: City Folk is anything to go by. Definitely the must have simulator for Nintendo Wii.

The English weather can't be trusted. It's a pretty well known fact. In winter - cold and wet. In summer - slightly less cold and about as wet. We need some kind of summer in our lives, so it's just as well that THQ and HB Studios Multimedia have brought Big Beach Sports to the Wii to introduce a spot of summer to our lives.
The action plays out on a luscious tropical island, where players can take part in volleyball, soccer, American football, boules, disc golf and cricket playing using a host of cartoony avatars.
The game is controlled using just the Wii Remote. Swing across your chest as you would with a real frisbee for disc golf, slam the ball down with over-arm gestures for beach volleyball or wield the Remote as you would a cricket bat. The controls fit intuitively with how you'd the real life sports.
Players can make their way through the game in single-player mode or (and this is where the real fun is) battle it out with up to three other players in multi-player mode.

Big Brain Academy (BBA) offers a number of difficulty levels and five brain-bending categories such as Mind Marathon and Mind Sprint that test the participant's brain power in areas including maths, logic, memory and analysis. Yep, rather than being a mere player, you are a participant, as BBA isn't really a game as such. Upon starting the game, new Academicals are invited to enroll using their own Mii. Dr Lobe (a talking brain lobe complete with spectacles, 'tache and a mortar board hat) will keep you up to speed with how well - or how badly - you are progressing at the academy.
Initially, the first test checks how big your brain is by measuring you in 15 activities that span five mental categories. You'll not only see your brain size, but you'll also receive a grade based on your performance. Alternatively, Practice sessions are a great way to improve your skills in specific activities. In Mind Sprint, two teams race to answer a set number of problems first. Using one Wii remote, one relay team of up to four players can compete against a student record book. Using two remotes, two teams of up to four people can compete. In Mental Marathon, any number between one and eight can strive to keep a winning streak going for as long as possible within a certain time limit. Once time runs out, or someone fails to solve a problem correctly, the marathon ends. The Brain Quiz is a party-style experience that spans the five mental categories, several difficulty levels, and adds five activities, making a total of 20. Up to eight players can divide themselves into four teams.
Big Brain Academy for Wii allows budding brainboxes to send and receive record books with friends who also own a copy of Big Brain Academy for Wii using WiiConnect24. Oh, and did we mention the talking Wii Remote function?

We've all been in trouble for making a mess. It's been a long day, you've come home and just couldn't be bothered to put your trousers away, the ones you just dropped into the living room. Or, better still, you've been painting and realised just how much fun it is to cover the person next to you in the runny stuff. Well, what if you had a whole city to go at and no-one to moan at you afterwards?
Such, in essence, is the core of de Blob, from THQ and Dutch developer Blue Tongue. The evil, monochromatic I.N.K.T. Corporation (led by Comrade Black) has taken over Chroma City and is determined to drain all colour from it. It's up to you to bring the colour back and liberate the city while you are at it.
So you'll rampage through the city, bouncing off platforms, completing puzzles and blasting the walls with colour as you go. There's a deep ten-hour single-player experience, alongside the option for up to four people to get involved in split screen multi-player.
It's all presented in a crisp, cartoony and (of course) colourful style. Go on, get a bit of brightness back in your life!

Everybody say "aaawwww...." Good stuff. You'll need to be rehearsed for Eledees, because it might just be the cutest game on the Wii.
Welcome to a world without gas, coal or nuclear power. Instead, the world's electricity comes courtesy of the Elebits. The Telly Tubby-alikes have been providing power for the human race for the last 10,000 years or so, in fact. Before you cry out that it's a cruel and unfair form of slavery, let us point out that the Elebits don't seem to mind, so long as they can get up to a bit of mischief every now and then.
And mischief is what they're up to. The Elebits are running amok, and it's up to you and your Wii Remote to find them. Using the Wii control system you'll navigate different environments, making grabs for the little mites. As well as grabbing the Elebits themselves, players can also move objects to find them and, if they're feeling mean, throw things about to scare them.
Strategy comes into play, too. You might want to sneak up on the Elebits stealthily, or you might want to hurl objects to scare them. As you progress you'll harness more and more of the Elebits' power, opening up new gaming possibilities as your grabbing power increases.
